Friends from the get! Seriously, from their engagement session, we hit it off instantly and it was like being with a couple of friends. Immediately they were playful and so sweetly affectionate with each other, which made documenting their session that much easier! Check out their engagement session here!

Their wedding was on a perfect June day at Gerry Ranch in Camarillo, California. The flowers around the ranch were in full bloom and fit perfectly into Cheyenne’s blush color palette! I love Cheyenne’s bridesmaids mix-match of dresses – all the same color but just a bit different cut. Cheyenne and Charlie decided not to do a First Look (which means we’re super excited to see Charlie’s reaction when he finally sees Cheyenne walk down the isle)…. and speaking of isle’s, that ceremony location at Gerry Ranch is absolutely gorgeous!

We get lots of questions about the First Look. Should we do it? Should we not? There are pros and cons to both – but at the end of the day, this is YOUR wedding and it should be the way YOU want it. With that said, weddings in the summer have a pretty late sunset while weddings in late fall don’t. The biggest thing we want to do as your photographers is to make sure we give you enough natural light for all of your photos without you feeling rushed or stressed. I believe that you should be enjoying all of the moments of your day and we’re there to photograph it! You should be living it!

Their ceremony was filled with tears of joy and lots of laughter! Cheyenne’s veil went rouge during ceremony because it was a bit windy but it made everyone laugh (and for a great photo, see below!) When we did Cheyenne and Charlie’s timeline, they wanted just a few sunset photos because they wanted to get back to the party! We respect that everyone has different visions and ideas for their wedding day and we make your timeline the way you want it. If you want to party, we get you to the party! If you want more photos, we’ll spend more time roaming around your venue – we are there for you! Speaking of parties though – this party might have been one for the books. It’s not often that almost every guest is on the dance floor for the entire evening and THEY WERE! I love watching people having the time of their lives – dancing, singing to songs, doing shots, hanging with friends and family – these are the best times!! Thank you C&C.. The wind came in and picked up Cheyenne’s veil and made everyone laugh!

We only spent about 8-10 minutes taking sunset/ golden hour photos..and they turned out amazing!

Charlie is a fireman so of course his fireman friends made sure to “core” the cake!

Typically I shoot the wedding rings in the beginning of the day but I didn’t have Charlie’s ring so before the sun went down I grabbed both of their rings and the invitation I had stashed in my bag. It was almost dark but I pushed my camera and had some fun with the candles and flowers…and was able to get some beautiful shots of their invites and rings.
