Lindsey and Blake live in Texas but were planning their baby moon in Montecito, Ca and reached out to me for a maternity session at Butterfly Beach. Immediate yessssss! Butterfly beach has the prettiest coastline with big palms and will usually sport a gorgeous pink sunset. Lindsey and Blake love spending their free time in California, specifically Santa Barbara. The week of their session, we had really unusual rain (which is not normal here in So Cal, especially during the summer!). Thankfully the day of their session, the rain stayed away and we even got a small peek at the sun. A little gloom doesn’t hurts a photo session, think of it like a shade everywhere.

Lindsey and Blake’s maternity session was set against the beautiful backdrop of Butterfly Beach in the quaint town of Montecito. The couple’s stylish outfits complemented the natural beauty around them—Lindsey in a fitted black dress that highlighted her baby bump and Blake in a casual yet sharp ensemble. Their joy and anticipation were palpable, making every photo a genuine representation of their love and excitement.

The session included a variety of settings each adding a unique touch to their story. One particularly touching moment was captured as Lindsey and Blake walked hand-in-hand along the shore, their footprints trailing behind them. The soft, natural light created a serene, almost ethereal atmosphere that perfectly framed their connection.

Despite the earlier rain, the grounds were vibrant and fresh, providing an idyllic setting for the photos. Lindsey and Blake’s laughter and warmth shone through, making it a delightful experience for everyone involved. Capturing their journey to parenthood in such a beautiful location was truly a privilege. I wish them all the best as they embark on this new chapter and hope to work with them again in the future!
