It was a gorgeous spring day for Danelle + Sam’s engagement session. We started at Santa Barbara Courthouse, which is one of my favorite places to shoot at! The architecture and the light are stunning! Sometimes, the courthouse is filled with people and sometimes, it’s empty. Of course, this day was FULL of people but that wasn’t going to stop us. 🙂 Danelle, Sam and I walked around the courthouse to find pretty pockets of light and background. The Santa Barbara Courthouse makes a unique backdrop for an engagement session and it reminds me a lot of our trip to Europe. After we finished at the courthouse, we headed down to Butterfly Beach in Montecito, California.
Butterfly Beach is one of THE prettiest beaches in so Cal…not because it has crazy caves or unique cliffs but the colors of the sunset here are unlike any other beach! We really lucked out because this spot is usually jam packed with people especially on a perfect spring day. Everything about the location takes your breath away – the beautiful, hazy light and colors of the sunset are the perfect backdrop for a romantic session! We soaked up every single minute of sunset while we were there! Danelle + Sam, it was so much fun getting to know you both at your engagement session and while it’s been a journey (thanks Covid), I’m so excited to finally photograph your upcoming wedding day! xx, Teresa
